Basingstoke Hyenas got their first win of the Access Group Challenge Cup, Saturday evening toppling top of the league Milton Keynes.
The game saw the Hyenas play their second game of the competition.
The only other meeting between the two teams came earlier this season, as the first game of the competition.
In that fixture it saw the Milton Keynes Bolts come away with the victory, and start their winning streak.
But this time, it saw the hosts, Basingstoke, take advantage and deal Milton Keynes their first loss of the competition.
With chances going either way, the game appeared to be wide open until the closing stages as both teams tried to step up their physicality, resulting in a high number of penalty minutes going either way.
With a final scoreline of 7-3, means that Basingstoke take all 3 available points ahead of their trip to Coventry on the 27th.
Other points of notice:
The game saw the debut of new man Stefan Pink, who got his first goal at 31.23 in the second period.
